Where was Jesus? When did God create the universe?

If you read John 1 carefully, you will see that Jesus was the one creating the universe.

John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 The same was in the beginning with God. 3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. 4 In him was life; and the life was the light of men. ... 14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

Similarly, in Colossians, Paul confirms this fact,

Col.1:13 Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son: 14 In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins: 15 Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature: 16 For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him: 17 And he is before all things, and by him all things consist.

Hebrews also adds more detail,

Heb.1:3 Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high:

An interesting thing to note throughout the Old Testament is that the reference “LORD God” is referring to Jesus. Jesus walked in the garden with Adam. Jesus appeared to Abraham, Jesus was in the fiery furnace with Daniel’s 3-friends and shut the mouths of the lions to save Daniel. Jesus was in the burning bush with Moses and parted the Red Sea, etc… As the verses above confirm, it is Jesus that interacts with men and oversees the plan of God for the restoration of creation.
