What does it mean in the Lord’s Prayer when it says, "...on Earth as it is in Heaven..."?

Image
In order to understand this statement, one must first understand that the Bible deals with two programs throughout its pages. The first is prophecy by means of Israel in order to restore earth, and the second is mystery by means of Paul, and the Body of Christ, in order to restore the heavens. Now, keep this in mind as we now tackle the question. In Matthew 6, Jesus had just finished teaching the Olivet sermon. The whole sermon has its context in the Millennial Kingdom. In actual fact, it can be seen as the constitution of the Kingdom and how Jesus will eventually execute His rule, according to these precepts and principles revealed in His sermon. After this teaching the disciples ask Him how they should pray. The content of the prayer concerns the period of time known as the Tribulation. If you recite the prayer in the context of a Jew living through the Tribulation, it will make a lot of sense; asking for ‘daily’ bread, for strength to forgive, for protection from evil and for ...

A question about TATTOO’S

Image
QUESTION: What do you make about tattoos? Should a Christian have it since it was condemned in the Old Testament but not in the New Testament? ANSWER: Entertaining thoughts like this is a consequence of not rightly dividing the Word of truth. These confusions come into the mind when people are taught that they are spiritual Israel, or when people are ignorant of the two separate and distinct programs that occupy the written Word. Let me briefly clarify what I mean. We have TWO programs in the Bible. The prophetic program and the mystery program. The prophetic program concerns Israel who were the people of God, a special nation, set apart by God, via the law, in order to be a light to the world, a kingdom of priests, and a holy nation. On the other hand, there is the mystery program, that concerns the Body of Christ, who are under grace. Where Israel is a physical people who would inherit the physical earth, the Body of Christ is a spiritual creature [body] which will inherit the heaven...

Can one gain righteousness with God using sheer will power?

Image
QUESTION: I believe that repentance means a sincere change in heart, I believe that if you continue on sin after receiving the knowledge of truth there is no sacrifice left, and that’s passed present and future. You can pray every day for forgiveness and whilst you lessen it daily, if you die, you’ll go to heaven because your soul is pure because you repent daily, and you know you will so your forgiven. But I believe that, daily sins, greed, sloth, idolatry, envy, wrath, and willful deliberate sin, undeniably inserts a massive amount of guilt upon your spirit, in which cannot be released without repentance to Christ, and continuously doing it again after repentance without a change in your ways, is not sincere, and you are taking Christs forgiveness for your own earthly pleasure. That’s what I believe, and that’s what I will continue to believe, there is no justification for willful deliberate sin. it must be stopped, for the purification of your soul, and for your soul to remain s...

What is God's will for you today?

Image
Back in the day, I can recall praying and asking God to reveal His will to me; to reveal His will in my job, to show me the way to go in my Christian walk and in my ministry. I don't doubt that God led me and guided me in His own way, and I certainly do not doubt where I am today in my relationship with Him and my family, but I have also learned over time that the options in life and the decisions you face is ultimately your will and in your control. God is not going to tell you what job to choose, or if you must marry or not. He is not going to tell you to buy a house or in what stocks to invest. He is not going to reply to those fleeces you put out or use booming billboards to answer your prayers. This is  YOUR  life and the decisions you make are your own, and the direction you choose is yours to make.  God entrusts you with the power to choose your path, but where your path ends up will be by how much of that powe...

Are there consequences to my sins if I am saved?

Image
Answer Request If I commit sins on earth and live a bad life but I am saved, are the consequences of those sins eternal? If so, how do I have a change of mind about my sins? As a grace believer, that is, if you have heard and responded in faith to the grace gospel , your sins are removed from you and placed upon the body and cross of Jesus Christ. In other words, Jesus took the blame for every sin you commit and it was placed upon Him as if He was the one who did the sin. This is why God, who cannot look upon sin (Hab.1:13), forsook Jesus and left Him alone at the cross. Remember, on the cross Jesus cried out "My God, why have you forsaken me!" (Matt.27:45-46) It's a sobering thought to understand that your sin, whether you fall in moments of weakness, or choose to do it, is placed on Christ and that He suffered the wrath of God for you. So, the bottom line is that those sins are not counted against you today. This is the absolute marvel of G...

In what way is God administering His will today?

Image
A  "dispensation"  is not the actual 'period of time', but an administration, or stewardship of events within that time period. It is a change in, ¹ the order of management, ² a system, or ³ a way of doing things. So, a dispensation relates to a way of life (how God relates to us), and not, as many people assume, by a period of time. When studying the Bible, and in context of dispensations discussed in this post, remember that the focus is on a way a life, dictated by God's administration and order of management at that time, and not on a specific period of time between two points of interest. Not only does God tell us to rightly divide (2 Tim.2:15) the scriptures, but He gives us the divisions we should use. Ephesians 2:11 speaks of "time past".  Ephesians 2:13 tells about "now" . and Ephesians 2:7 looks to "the ages to come" . Ephesians 2 makes it clear that each of these three divisions is vastly different from the other two. Whene...

What is God's will for me?

God is not going to tell you what job to choose, or if you must marry or not. He is not going to tell you to buy a house or in what stocks to invest. He is not going to reply to those fleeces you put out or use booming billboards to answer your prayers. This is YOUR life and the decisions you make are your own, and the direction you choose is yours to make. God entrusts you with the power to choose your path, but where your path ends up will be by how much of that power you choose to entrust back to God. It is interesting to note that the verses in the Bible that speak about God's will do not mention His aid in your decisions and direction. The advice provided is to learn His Word, to fill your mind with His ways and to grow in the knowledge of His truth. It is by having a good understanding of His Word, and basing decisions from this foundation that brings peace and a faith to step out, to trust and to do. Romans 12:2 And do not be con...
