Why do some people tithe and some don't?

Image
QUESTION on Social Media: If the just shall live by faith, and not the law, why should same just live by tithing? Can someone explain what is really going on to the faithful. My ANSWER: I can answer you by saying that the ‘faithful’ you mention fail to rightly divide the scriptures, 2Tim.2:15. If they study the bible in the correct context, they will learn that tithing was an instruction for Israel under the prophetic Kingdom program* (which is currently suspended). The tithe is an instruction exclusively to Israel (to the Jews). It formed part of their law and the offering of a 10th of their harvest and other things was to honour God and thank Him for His providence, (Leviticus 27:30; Numbers 18:26; Deuteronomy 14:24; 2 Chronicles 31:5). This program of Law has been put on hold in our age. Paul says that we are no longer under the law, but under grace (Rom.6:14). 2 Corinthians 9:7 Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for G...

BIBLE STUDY 101

TRUE or FALSE: Dispensational changes between Kingdom and Grace doctrine. God spoke doctrine to Israel by the prophets, and He speaks to us today through the mystery doctrine penned by the Apostle, Paul. All scripture is inspired by God and are words of truth and life, and although all scripture is for our learning, it is important to recognize and acknowledge that not all scripture is for our application. With this in mind, is the following passage doctrine for us today? True or false. Mar 11:25-26  And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have ought against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses.  (26)  But if ye do not forgive, neither will your Father which is in heaven forgive your trespasses. See the answer here:  Why do some feel like Christianity is contradicting?

Is it important that we are to confess our sins to God?

Image
QUESTION: Please read I John 1:9. The passage goes like this. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins. In this passage, isn’t John giving clear instructions that we shouldn’t ignore. Is it important that we are to confess our sins to God?  ANSWER: To answer this question in the correct context, we must interpret the Bible from a dispensational view. It is of great importance to recognize that scripture must be understood in the context of the dispensation in which it was written. If you do not take this into account, you can easily misinterpret the passage and end up learning a wrong doctrine. John addressed his letters to his Jewish brethren (because of this reference in Gal.2:9; that the Jewish apostles would minister to the circumcision (Jews), and Paul would minister to the uncircumcision (Gentiles)). Not only was John writing to the Jews but notice the word "if" in John's statement. He says that confessing sins is the conditional requir...

Why did Paul say some things that contradicted Jesus, even though Christians quote him a lot?

Prophecy foretells that Jews are a distinct nation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation (ex.19:5–6) called of God for the purpose of showing forth His glory and being the light and salvation of the Gentiles (Isa.60:1–3). With this in mind, the earthly ministry of Jesus was directed to Jews ONLY (Matt.10:5–6; Matt.15:24) to save them and bring them lift them up to that place of preeminence, that they might fulfil prophecy and be that light and salvation to the Gentiles. Jesus was a minister of the circumcision (Jews) (Rom.15:8) and preached according to the law and according to prophecy (Gal.4:4–5). The gospel Jesus taught was concerning the prophesied earthly Millennial Kingdom, which was a hand, and thus He called for Jews to repent and prepare for the inheritance of this Kingdom in which He would be King. This ministry of Jesus is in stark contrast to the ministry of Paul who was called by the glorified Christ for a very different purpose. Paul was to go to a different audience (the Ge...

What happens when you blend up doctrines of salvation? Sadly, a false mess!

Image
ORIGINAL STATEMENT: Here is a question: If a Jew comes to your church will you tell him what Peter commanded in Acts 2:38,39 or tell him something else. Remember you said Peter’ doctrine was only for the Jews. Another thing if a non-Jew comes into you church do you tell him what Peter commands the gentiles in Acts 10:48 or would you tell him something else? CORRECTION: If a Jew comes to your church, will you tell him what Peter commanded in Acts 2:38,39 or tell him something else? No. I’d tell him Paul’s gospel. Why? Because Peter’s gospel in Acts, although 100% valid and accurate, was for the Kingdom program, under prophecy. God suspended this program (Rom 11:25) when He called Paul. Thus, the Kingdom program hangs in limbo until God reactivates it again when the 7-year Tribulation begins (after the rapture of the Body of Christ). Only the Grace program is active today and both Jews and Gentiles are saved by grace according to the gospel of Paul (1Cor 15:1–4). Peter NEVER preached th...

A false understanding of the doctrine of salvation!

Image
ORIGINAL STATEMENTS: Salvation: ask forgiveness, sin no more, and the other, I don’t agree. His name is not (JC); his name is Yahawashi (Paleo Hebrew). We don’t call our savior (JC); for we know the Catholic Church give the earth an imposter. He (Yah) died for the sins of his people (Isaiah 46:13, and 49:6). Just believing is not enough. We must have faith with works (James 2:26). “Man cannot live by the word alone;” he must walk in the spirit; otherwise, he will be mystified. These two scriptures are important for those who walk in the spirit (1 Corinthians 13:9; 2 Timothy 3:16). CORRECTION: It is strange that you quote from Paul’s texts, but you appear to completely ignore what he teaches concerning salvation by grace. Concerning grace salvation: It is clear from Paul’s epistles that by placing faith in Christ alone, without works, God justifies you and saves you. Believing is not only enough, it is the ONLY thing you can do and the only thing God needs. Anything beyond believing is ...

According to Peter, why is Paul really hard to understand?

Image
STATEMENT: Is it just me or does anyone else think it’s funny that “Paul is hard to understand sometimes” can be directly backed by scripture (2 Peter 3:16)? ANSWER: Let’s look at the whole verse, 2Pe 3:16 As also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction. One must remember that we are dealing with two distinct programs, and both happened to be running at the same time in Peter’s day (ie: the Acts period). Peter serviced the Jewish church, under prophecy, the law, and the Kingdom program and doctrine. Paul serviced the Body of Christ, under mystery, and under the Grace program and doctrine. The epistle that Peter wrote was addressed to the Jewish church. Since they were under a different doctrine, it is natural to expect that the Jews found it hard to receive ‘the mysteries’, a doctrine that was so different and ...

TWO Programs, TWO Doctrines, TWO Destinations

Image
The following is someone's response to this article which dealt with aspects concerning the Kingdom and Grace gospels and the fact that they have different content and are addressed to different audiences. I'm posting this to point out that if one does not rightly divide the Word and recognize the fact that there are TWO programs and TWO people groups in God's redemption plan, one will get terribly mixed up and confused, skewing doctrine and getting tangled up in confusing discrepancies when right division clears all things up so easily.  These comments below clearly indicate the struggle to make sense of the Word, trying to join things that are meant to be separate and distinct. The arguments made result in unusual interpretations and indicate a juvenile understanding of the Word. 2 Timothy 2:15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.  (16)  But shun profane and vain babblings: for they will ...

Errors that occur if One does not Rightly Divide

Comments from an anonymous party based on the following scripture: 1Cor.13:8-12 Charity never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away. 9 For we know in part, and we prophesy in part. 10 But when that which is perfect is come, then that which is in part shall be done away. 11 When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things. 12 For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known. Dear reader, what I wrote afore becomes clearly evident when you understand and apply the requirement of right division in the Word, according to 2Tim.2:15. Israel is to be merged into or blended with the doctrine of Grace. They are separate programs and doctrines altogether. Let me point to some things that you write: COMMENT: Acts 2:39...

Why does Paul say in Ephesians 2:12 that the Gentiles had no hope and were without God?

Image
In times past (before the cross), God was forming Israel to be the light and salvation to the Gentiles. God was going to use Israel to reach the Gentiles with His presence and His Word. This is why they are called a royal priesthood and holy nation in Exodus 19:5-6. The verse in Eph 2:12 is speaking of this time (before the cross) where Israel was still the center of God’s focus. God was not showing Himself to any Gentile nations as this would be the role of Israel after their Messiah came. This is why Paul says the following, Eph 2:12 That at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world: 13 But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ. Verse 13 however tells of a radical change in events. Due to Israel’s unbelief, God suspended His dealings with them (temporarily), and converted Paul and sent him with a new gospel an...

Failing to recognize dividing the Word leads to reprobate thinking

Image
Statement All these negative statements promoting the flesh is not good for Christians who wants to be overcomers on Christ Jesus. It's not that I am saying anyone can be sin free, but we should tend to be like Christ. Instead of yielding to sin simply because grace is available. Your pattern of thinking is why some pastors drink, fornicate, cheat, hate, embittered, murder, smoke, exhibit pride and greed because they feel, after all, they cannot beat sin. It's not the number of years as a Christian but your authority in Christ as His soldier. Do you believe in prayers and warfare? Do you believe in binding and casting? You cannot be able to pray battle prayers when you believe carnality is part of a Christian. Answer God’s grace is there for you because of the exceeding love and power of the cross. However, it shows that you still have a way to grow in the knowledge and understanding of God’s foundational truths in the letter of Romans. If you read Romans 6 you will see that...

Are you still trapped in the LAW dispensation?

Image
The following is a forum discussion with someone who is clearly still trapped in the law dispensation. If you find yourself with this mindset today, then your views of the Bible and Christianity need to be adjusted as God is not working under the law today, He is working by grace.  Please note that I am not shooting down the law or the administration depicted in the Gospels. In actual fact, the person below has a very good understanding of the law dispensation, but what I am saying is that this dispensation is not in operation today. Today is the dispensation of GRACE, which is administered in a VERY DIFFERENT way! The purpose of this post is to compare law vs. grace. Comparisons, or discussions between these administrations can be a great way to learn both sides and properly discover how God is administering His will in the world today. Let's look at the discussing, paying close attention to the differences between law and grace.  LAW ARGUMENT A “kingdom” is a government ru...
