If 1Jn3:8 is true, then it appears Jesus failed his mission.

STATEMENT: Christians are baptized and therefore they have the holy spirit, the father and the son (trinity) but their hearts are rotten, minds and hearts are corrupt and useless. So, Jesus who talked about baptism lied to the world because anybody who has a bad heart will follow Jesus and his father the serpent to the underworld. 1John 3:8 says that he son of God came to destroy the serpent and all his works, but the devil is still tormenting the world. Therefore, Jesus' death and resurrection was useless. ANSWER: The first advent of Jesus was to die for us, taking upon Himself the sins of the world. Although Satan still is the god of this world, Jesus defeated the works of the devil by opening up a way for us to be reconciled with God if we choose to believe in Him. So, the first part of the destruction of Satan is done.
