Question:   “ The truth is that Christians are not to reject the law of God, the ten commandments, but by the Almighty’s Spirit should know how to apply keeping His commands without a religious organization telling them what they must or not must not do! G od has said it over and over again. We are to keep His commandments. Why don’t we? Is it because some man or some church organization tells them so? Why is man’s teaching so different that what God commandment???” Answer:  It is true that no Christians is to reject the 10 commandments. In essence, these are the moral standards that all men should abide by. The world would be a WONDERFUL place if men kept just these 10 commandments. However, the truth is that humans CANNOT keep the law, even if they wanted to. Humans are corrupted by the curse of sin. The book of Romans says that “ There are none that are righteous, no not one! ” (Rom.3:10) . It does not matter if God, the pope, a church, or a government, tells men to keep ju...

How do you get your faith to become stronger than your feelings?

Image
Faith is not emotions or feelings. Faith is knowledge of the truth. In other words, if the Bible says, "God is near you" (Eph.2:13) , then faith believes that, irrespective of emotions and feelings. If your emotions rule you, then your life will be like a roller coaster, constantly tossed between the highs and the lows. Emotions cannot provide you any stability in your relationship with God. However, if you stand on faith, then no matter what your emotional state, you have a firm grounding, and God will be near, because truth says so, not because you think you feel Him. How do you learn to have faith? Well, remember that your whole being, your flesh (or human reasoning), defaults to emotions and feelings. Your default response to everything is feelings since you are conditioned on these since you were born. But faith comes by the Word. You grow in faith by learning the Word, studying the Word, gaining knowledge in the Word. As the Word starts to fill your thoughts, you will s...

Should we read Paul's writings? Are they not dangerous and contradictory to Jesus teachings?

Image
QUESTION: I chose not to listen to Paul. I'm no scholar nor expert but here are a few scriptures from Jesus himself: Revelation 14:12 Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus. So, we are to still keep the commandments. Matthew 7:21 Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of My Father in heaven. 22 Many will say to Me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your name, and in Your name drive out demons and perform many miracles?’ 23 Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you workers of lawlessness!’ This shows that some people who consider Jesus Lord will be condemned because they were lawless. The answer to “I never knew you” is John 10:27 My sheep listen to My voice; I know them, and they follow Me. For me, Paul is too hard to understand. Peter even mentioned it just after 2 Peter 3:14. ANSWER: God put the writings...

Are persons who are justified unable to sin and so the matter of sin is settled?

Image
The below questions are in response to this post: https://thebigpicturelink.blogspot.com/2023/04/the-issue-of-sin-is-settled-once-and.html QUESTIONS: So, you are saying that persons justified in their belief is unable to sin and so the matter of sin is settled? But what if he sins? Is he no longer justified? And if he is no longer justified then how is the matter settled? ANSWER: Justification is only the first step in the full process of salvation. What is important to understand is that this step is a spiritual work. It does not affect the flesh and certainly does not fix sin in the flesh. It is a judicial declaration upon the believer, simply because he believes in Jesus. this first step of salvation does not yet deal with the flesh and sin in the flesh. A believer who is justified stands acquitted before God in a spiritual context. God is not looking at the life of the believer to justify him, no, we are ALL sinners. The justification that is declared over a believer is because of ...

Question: According to the Bible, if you know what to do and you refuse it’s a sin . So, I’m asking if you know you have to study and you don’t study is it a sin? Answer: The Bible has a lot to say about what is wrong and what is right. These are typically connected to being moral in the eyes of God and/or man. For instance, the Bible says it is wrong to lie, or steal, or commit adultery. Nobody has debates and arguments about these sins as they are clearly defined in the scriptures. But what about not studying? What about smoking? What about not stowing the shopping cart in the parking lot because you don’t have time? The Bible says nothing about these, yet we might feel bad if we do, or do not, do these. Are these sins if I feel bad afterwards? This is what the Bible says in times like this, Rom.14:5 Let each be fully convinced in his own mind. … 22 Do you have faith? Have it to yourself before God. Happy is he who does not condemn himself in what he approves. 23 But he who doubts is...
