Who is Peter writing to in his epistles?

Image
COMMENT: It appears Peter was writing to the Christians in Gentile nations, not to the Israelites in Israel. Peter also preaches about the kingdom of heaven and not about the physical Israel. Have a look at these verses that attest to this: 2 Peter 2:1-3;  2 Peter 3:15-17;  1 Peter 1:1;  1 Peter 4:16. REPLY: Let's quickly start with a brief background of details for context. Peter started in the Kingdom program under law. This was the time when Jesus was on earth. The Kingdom gospel concerning Jesus' identity was ministered to Jews ONLY. Then we get the blinding of Israel, according in Rom 11:25. The Kingdom program for Jews ONLY was suspended and God converted Paul and sent him to preach the Grace gospel concerning Jesus’ cross work to all nations, both Jew and Gentile. This grace program ends with the Body of Christ being snatched up into heaven and this closes the period of grace through the cross work of Christ. So, we have the end of two very different dispensat...

What is it about two programs, two agencies, two doctrines, and two destinations?

What is it about two programs, two agencies, two doctrines, and two destinations? I want you to spend a bit of your time considering these two bible passages, when you have a quiet moment to contemplate them. Read them carefully and attentively and see if you can spot the points of interest that I highlight in the small list below. First, read the passages....slowly 😉 Acts 3:19-25 (This is the apostle Peter speaking to Israel (Jews) on the day of Pentecost) ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Repent therefore and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, so that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord, 20 and that He may send Jesus Christ, who was preached to you before, 21 whom heaven must receive until the times of restoration of all things, which God has spoken by the mouth of all His holy prophets since the world began. 25 You are sons of the prophets, and of the covenant which God made with our fathers, saying to...

Who was it that Paul claims to have seen? Isn't it Satan that masquerades as an angel of light.

Image
This post is not a lesson, but simply an indication of the level of ignorance or disregard of Bible truth. The intention for posting it is not to smear the person or their comment, but to highlight the need for sound doctrine and proper instruction in God's Word. There is a great need out there on social media for sound, rightly divided truth. Every bit of truth out there helps those who are truly seeking it. INITIAL POST: … but when God converted Paul on the Damascus Road, God gave him a completely new gospel and doctrine for the Gentiles. The above quote comes from this source post . COMMENT ON THE SOURCE POST: God gives a complete stranger who was taught by GAMALIEL a new Gospel and doctrine, whilst the disciple of Jesus who were blessed with the holy spirit where deprived of this message. Hmmm, makes you think who the antichrist actually is. Who was it that Paul claims to have seen; the one who came to him in the form of light. Then Paul goes to the Jews to preach the new Gospe...

Did Jesus WILLINGLY pay the penalty of sin?

Image
Jesus' sacrifice was an act of love and redemption, offering Himself as a ransom for humanity, 1Tim 2:6, and establishing peace between God and those who choose to believe in Jesus Christ. This selfless act is seen as the ultimate expression of love, as stated in John 15:13: "Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends." There is no more motivation needed than to provide the following scriptures that confirm the fact that Jesus willingly gave his life as a ransom for the redemption of those who believe in Him. Matthew 20:28 Even as the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many. Titus 2:14 Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works. Ephesians 5:2 And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweetsmelling savour. 1 John 3...

Why can’t I take the words of Jesus and ignore those of Paul?

Image
QUESTION: Why can’t I take the words of Jesus and ignore those of Paul? I’m on my way back to Jesus after a long separation and Paul is the main barrier. ANSWER: The Lord Himself chose and separated Paul for a special ministry. Paul is the apostle to the Gentiles. Romans 11:13 For I speak to you Gentiles, inasmuch as I am the apostle of the Gentiles, I magnify mine office: The 13 epistles that he wrote contains information that is relevant for the Body of Christ today. This is important to realize as the contents of the Bible, outside of Paul’s epistles are written to Israel and is doctrine for the Jews under Law. Even Jesus ministry was towards the Jews. This is why Jesus Himself said, Matthew 15:24 But he answered and said, I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel. and… Galatians 4:4-5 But when the fullness of the time had come, God sent forth His Son, born of a woman, born under the law [as a Jew], 5 to redeem those who were under the law [Jews], When Jesus appea...

Are we committing sin when we do something we do not know is a sin?

Image
QUESTION: Are we committing sin when we do something we do not know is a sin? ANSWER: You should generally know if you sinned because of the condemnation you will experience in your heart. Paul says the following: Rom.14:22 Happy is he that condemneth not himself in that thing which he alloweth. However, from a different perspective, consider this: We have ALL sinned and fallen short of God. It does not really matter if you are not sure if you committed a sin or not, because from the day you were born you entered into sin. What is more important is how to find righteousness before God, and the only way to get to this position is by hearing and responding to the grace gospel. When you are saved, you stand before God utterly forgiven and cleansed. You are clothed with the righteousness of Christ and your sins have been nailed to the cross. Even though we might fall in a moment of weakness, (since we still live for this time-being in a sinful world), our sin is not counted against us and ...
