Heaven is divided into three levels, (1) The 3rd heaven which is where God's throne is, (2) The 2nd heaven which is the created universe containing the stars, planets and other heavenly bodies (3) The 1st heaven which is the atmosphere around earth and where the bird and planes fly. (For example, Paul was taken up into the 3rd heaven in 2 Corinthians 12:2)
The Kingdom of God could have many meanings, but the meaning that it most predominant in the New Testament concerns the 1000-year earthly kingdom of Christ's literal and physical reign after the 7-year Tribulation, known as the Millennial Kingdom. The book of Matthew calls it the Kingdom of Heaven, because it is the Kingdom that comes from heaven to earth when Christ comes at His second coming. It is this Millennial Kingdom of Christ's earthly reign that fills the Bible, through prophecies, and contained in the message of the Kingdom gospel, proclaimed by Jesus and the 12 apostles to Israel,
Mark 1:15 And saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel.
It is interesting to note that if you interpret the Bible dispensationally, these are the two destinations for those saved by either the Kingdom gospel or the Grace gospel. All humanity throughout all history who believed in the Redeemer/Messiah (through the Kingdom gospel) are saved to inherit/participate in the Millennial Kingdom. All those who believe in the cross-work of Christ (through the Grace gospel) are saved to inherit/participate in heaven.
Compare these scriptures for example:
Destination: Millennial Kingdom on Earth (through Kingdom Gospel)
Job 19:25 For I know that my Redeemer lives, And He shall stand at last on the earth; 26 And after my skin is destroyed, this I know, that in my flesh I shall see God, 27 whom I shall see for myself, and my eyes shall behold, and not another. How my heart yearns within me!
Jeremiah 3:17 At that time [in the 1000-year reign of Christ on earth] Jerusalem shall be called The Throne of the Lord, and all the nations shall be gathered to it, to the name of the Lord, to Jerusalem. No more shall they follow the dictates of their evil hearts.
Matthew 6:9 In this manner, therefore, pray: Our Father in heaven, hallowed be Your name. 10 Your kingdom come. Your will be done on earth [in the Millennial Kingdom] as it is in heaven [where God's throne is]. (See also: Acts 1:6; Acts 3:21)
Acts 1:3 To whom also he shewed himself alive after his passion by many infallible proofs, being seen of them forty days, and speaking of the things pertaining to the kingdom of God: …. 6 When they therefore were come together, they asked of him, saying, Lord, wilt thou at this time restore again the kingdom to Israel [the Millennial Kingdom]?
Destination: Heaven (through Grace gospel)
Philippians 3:20 For our [Body of Christ] citizenship is in heaven, from which we also eagerly wait for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ,
Ephesians 2:6 and raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus,
Colossians 3:2 Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth. 3 For you died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God.
2 Timothy 4:17 But the Lord stood with me and strengthened me, so that the message might be preached fully through me, and that all the Gentiles might hear. Also, I was delivered out of the mouth of the lion. 18 And the Lord will deliver me from every evil work and preserve me for His heavenly kingdom. To Him be glory forever and ever. Amen!
