What Bible verse shows a difference between faith types?

Rom.3:29 Is he the God of the Jews only? is he not also of the Gentiles? Yes, of the Gentiles also: 30 Seeing it is one God, which shall justify the circumcision by faith, and uncircumcision through faith.

The circumcision (Israel) are justified BY faith. It places emphasis on what they need to do to be saved. The focus is on using a prescribed system to achieve something by their own efforts and actions. God provided justification because they DID the following; they confessed Jesus as their Messiah (faith component), they got baptized in water and Spirit, they obeyed the law, and endured to the end (works component). BY doing all these, they could achieve salvation. In Israel's program, a Jew needed to positively obey what God was saying or doing. They are saved BY demonstrating faith in what God instructed.

Romans 9:31-33: But Israel, which followed after the law of righteousness, hath not attained to the law of righteousness. 32 Wherefore? Because they sought it not by faith, but as it were by the works of the law. For they stumbled at that stumblingstone; 33 As it is written, Behold, I lay in Sion a stumblingstone and rock of offence: and whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.

The uncircumcision (Gentiles) are justified THROUGH faith. Emphasis is not placed in something they need to do, but rather in something that someone else has done. The focus is on trusting the efforts and actions of another instead of their own. God provided justification because they BELIEVED the following; that the death, burial and resurrection of Christ would save them. In the Body of Christ program, a believer needs to positively believe what God has provided. We are saved THROUGH means of the faith of Christ which God provided.

Ephesians 2:8-9: For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: 9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.

Galatians 3:8,14: And the scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the heathen through faith, preached before the gospel unto Abraham, saying, In thee shall all nations be blessed…. 14 That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.
