What does salvation look like for those who mix up Israel's doctrine with Pauline doctrine?

Friends, the following is shocking. I'm not trying to sensationalize this post with this statement, but it is true. The following is the corruption that springs forth from the minds of people who refuse to recognize right division, and who create some form of blended confusion of doctrine that sadly, many innocent people fall for. The "Salvation 101" part below is a comment that I received from a post. It blew me away! It is the result of blatant ignorance of sound Bible study. The key to understanding the Bible is to rightly divide it. The doctrine that this comment uses is predominantly that of the Kingdom program. Please take note of the failure to divide these scriptures and ensure that you keep yourself educated in the epistles of Paul which is written for you specifically.

------ SALVATION 101 --------

Salvation --- is a Conditional & Relational word....

Salvation...and/or..." Saved "...is NOT a 1 Time Occurrence...it's a Present Tense Real Time State of Being...NOT...a Once Upon a Time Confession....

----->>> Without the Holy Spirit Baptism & Gifts it's IMPOSSIBLE to Fulfill His Calling & Destiny for your Life...

>>>>>>------- Spiritual Gifts/Manifestations of the Holy Spirit for TODAY ---

9 Gifts of the Holy Spirit --- 1Corinthians 12:4 - 11

7 Gifts of the Holy Spirit --- Isaiah 11:2

------>>> Being Born Again is a Spiritual Requirement --- For Salvation...

Anyone Who is... NOT ... born again of The Holy Spirit... is... NOT ... Saved -- John 3:3, 5

Jesus Baptizes with the Holy Spirit & Fire --- Matt 3:11 / Mark 1:8 / Luke 3:16 / Acts 2:2 - 4

Anyone Who Doesn't Have the Same Spirit as Jesus...is NOT Saved -- Romans 8:9

Anyone Who Doesn't Carry their cross & Follow Him...is NOT Saved -- Matt 16:24-26 / Mark 8:34 37 / Luke 9:23-25

Anyone Who is… NOT...Led by the Holy Spirit is… NOT Saved -- Romans 8:14

Anyone Who Doesn't Know my Fathers Will for their Life...is NOT SAVED -- Matt 7:21

---->>> Ephesians 5:18 --- Be FILLED... with the HOLY SPIRIT...

Anyone Who Doesn't Obey Jesus...is NOT SAVED -- Hebrews 5:9

Anyone Who Doesn't Know His Voice & Follow Him...is NOT SAVED -- John 10:27

RESPONSE TO THE ABOVE

Goodness, that is a long list of conditions, and many of them leave one with terrible uncertainty and insecurity about their salvation.

How do you measure if you have 'carried your cross enough', or if you have 'obeyed Jesus enough' or 'followed His voice'? Even if I work hard at that list, how will I ever know if I am genuinely saved or not?

Your view is completely skewed by mixing up the doctrine of prophecy and grace. These conditions are so far beyond the simple truth that the apostle of the Gentiles (Rom.11:13) tells us. Paul tells me that if I believe in Jesus Christ, God justifies me. Nothing more, nothing less!

Rom 4:5 But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness.

That is it!

This is not my own words or conclusions. It is what God tells me in His Word. Salvation is in one's faith in Christs, not in one’s own performance. Believing in Christ has no uncertainty or unsurety. The moment I choose to trust Jesus Christ, God declares me innocent and free of guilt. This is why I can rejoice in the hope of the glory of God, according to the scripture below.

Rom 5:1-2 Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ: 2 By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.

Salvation is not in performance, or works, or obedience, or my own righteousness. God imputes the righteousness of Christ to me FREELY when I believe in Jesus Christ.

I encourage you to read Romans chapters 5-8 to learn what the Word has to say about our justification and salvation. The conditions you specify are all to do with the Kingdom program for Israel, not us in this dispensation of grace.

A FOLLOW-UP COMMENT

The Precursor: ALL Paul's Epistles Are Written to Hebrew Congregations in the various countries they were Exiled to….

there were Many captive Hebrews in Rome…via the Roman regime….

What Paul is telling the Hebrew Captives in Rome….Who weren’t Aware the Yeshua’s Ministry…crucifixion…resurrection etc

Paul is telling them the Mystery of the OT was Manifest in Israel…. i.e. the “Revelation”….of Him as their Messiah.

Paul ISN’T telling them he’s the Author of the Gospel…

Paul is telling them to be AWARE the Prophecy of Isaiah 7:14 - Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel. [ other OT verses as well] - that the Living GOSPEL/Word Did INDEED Become Flesh & Dwell in Israel….as (http://Israel….as) Prophesied….

This will Help your Orientation…. Pauls Intro to the Roman Hebrew Congregation —-

Romans 1: 1 — Paul, a servant of Yeshua the Messiah, called to be an emissary, set apart for the Good News of God,

2, which he promised before through his prophets in the holy Scriptures,

3, concerning his Son, who was born of the offspring* of David according to the flesh,

4, who was declared to be the Son of God with power, according to the Spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead, Yeshua the Messiah our Lord,

5, through whom we received grace and the office of emissary for obedience of faith among all the nations for his name’s sake.

6, among whom you are also called to belong to Yeshua the Messiah.

7, to all who are in Rome, beloved of God, called to be holy ones: Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Yeshua the Messiah.

8, First, I thank my God through Yeshua the Messiah for all of you, that your faith is proclaimed throughout the whole world.

Paul was a Hebrew Scholar…But Didn’t get Saved till Acts 9:6…. & then was given his Missionary orders.

SUBSEQUENT RESPONSE

On the contrary, when the Lord instructed Ananias to pray for Saul, He said,

“But the Lord said unto him, Go thy way: for he is a chosen vessel unto me, to bear my name before the Gentiles, and kings, and the children of Israel:”, Act 9:15.

After the Jerusalem council meeting in Acts 15, it is recorded that Paul take his gospel to the uncircumcised Gentiles, while Peter and the 12, focus only on Israel’s circumcision,

Gal 2:6-9 But of these who seemed to be somewhat, (whatsoever they were, it maketh no matter to me: God accepteth no man's person:) for they who seemed to be somewhat in conference added nothing to me: 7 But contrariwise, when they saw that the gospel of the uncircumcision was committed unto me, as the gospel of the circumcision was unto Peter; 8 (For he that wrought effectually in Peter to the apostleship of the circumcision, the same was mighty in me toward the Gentiles:) 9 And when James, Cephas, and John, who seemed to be pillars, perceived the grace that was given unto me, they gave to me and Barnabas the right hands of fellowship; that we should go unto the heathen, and they unto the circumcision.

You say that Paul’s churches were Hebrew churches. In truth they were a mix of both Jew and Gentile.

Take the Corinthian church. Paul's letter speaks against a multitude of carnal behaviours. One in particular was eating meat offered to idols. Where in the world would a Jew do that??? Similarly, Paul speaks to the Galatian church that they have fallen from grace by being enticed to be circumcised to ensure their salvation. Were these ‘Jews’ at Galatia uncircumcised???

I’m not sure who taught you, or where you picked up your doctrine, but it is way off track to what the Bible records. My dispute is not aimed at you. Your words however do misrepresent what the Bible teaches.
